Adelaide - Adelaide Hills

We took a tour of the Adelaide Hills region south of the city. It felt a bit lusher than other surrounding areas and offered some nice viewpoints. Our favorite stop on the tour was the town of Hahndorf, which was founded by Germans and retains a European feel with lots of aged stone buildings. We had tea and cake there followed by a brief time to explore the town on our own. We spent most of that shopping for a new pair of sandals for Deborah, whose previous pair was wearing out and giving her blisters. She found a comfy replacement but we’ll have to make a return trip to see more of Hahndorf. The tour included the town of Victor Harbor, which didn’t impress us, although we had a nice Asian lunch there and visited the Whale Museum where we gained knowledge of important facts such as that sharks fart. We also did wine tasting in McLaren Vale, which Deborah wasn’t in the mood for and I’m never in the mood for. We did not, however, say no to the cheese and crackers.
