The Australians are very entertained by the footage of President Bush dodging projectile footwear in Iraq. It shows up on every newscast and every promo for every newscast. They also like to show clips from Bush’s speeches such as when he said, “I know that human being and fish can coexist peacefully.” I’m afraid our president is a bit of a joke here. They are also fairly amused by Sarah Palin, although I haven’t seen any clips of her since she was babbling on in a Thanksgiving TV interview while turkeys were being slaughtered behind her. According to The Australian newspaper the polls here suggest that aussies favored Obama in the recent election by 5 to 1.
